Good morning Charlie

What's sexier than three smokin' hot babes, that kick ass and fight crime (under the instruction of a vocally seductive stranger) living together?

Waking up in the morning to see the house painters fat belly squashed against your bedroom window.

How could this be at all appealling you ask?
Well in all honnesty....it's not.

But the idea that me and two of my closest girlfriends are now offically living in the very near suburbia of Brisbane - and are having our beautiful Queenslander painted - is enough to turn anyone on!

So, I know your all dying to know "What's it like....finally doing what you've always dreamed? Is it as you imagined?"

Well no actually....

It's better!

Every morning I wake up and realise I'm actually in a city that appreciates what I love - music, art and the love of live gigs any day of the week and realiable public transfer.

But just between you and I - there are two things about the city that I'm loving the most....

1) Having my own place means I can strip down whenever and dance to my hearts content

2) That sense of being around interesting people again
... to be honnest it's extremely comforting and yet thrilling to walk through the city and feel so many people brush up against you....
... People who have multi-coloured hair, people of all different weights, where no two people look the same.

How exciting this new world is - where musos freely roam the area and artists fling their brushes around on the streets.

Photobucket

A recent example would be my meeting of the two, gay photographers....:

One night (recent night), on a night out and about in the Valley, I very quickly got over the sticky, sweaty atmosphere of one of Brisbane's various clubs, and decided to take a walk.

(Yes I know it is dumb to walk on your own, in the valley, at night...But I was not about endure any more free gropage or spilled drinks!)

So, I ventured down towards a little place called Barsomas. On my way down I run into two fellas - both young, strapping, very well dressed, Indie boys - carrying a camera each, around their necks, and a white frame in each hand. After briefly discussing our shared passion for the art of Photography (as we walked together) we decided to try and get into clubs for free.

That night at Barsomas the cover charge was $16.
Not being anywhere near pay day I didn't have the dosh to cough up for entry.
So, I grabbed a hold of the frames and the boys held up their cameras and bursted in unison "MEDIA"

After making up something quick about a new magazine (that they hadn't heard of) that was being released next month we convinced the bouncers to let us in for free.

We then spent the next 40 minutes together - myself running around and framing unsuspecting faces, while the boys shot away.

Yes, it was an extremely strange night - BUT something I've never done before....
which excites me more than anything in the world (besides L.D).

So to reiterate my initial statement:
How a fat painter's belly be at all sexy...

Is because that fat man's belly reminds me that this is my house, in my city and my new life.

Chyeah Bitches!
Now what next...?

Fireflies

fireflies

2009
is over and the start of my new life is just beginning...

Tomorrow, I pack up and move out of home....say goodbye to what I've known as my familar, to see everything thats unfamiliar.

What does 2010 hold for me?
New people? new places? new oppotunities....

Hoepfully I'll be doing a lot of gigs and finish my album to I can get rid of all the excess Jordy I feel the need to leak into the world around me....

maybe then I'd get off this damn computer and this damn blog and live a forfilling life....
(wishful thinking)

Thinking about all the oppotunities this year holds excites me.
Just the fact that what I have waited for, for three years now ...
(a house in Brisbane city, where I can live without pants on, cover the trees in fairy lights and walk into my own kitchen in the morning and drink some nice, lactose free milk).

As my last night on the coast and last night with my dear mother, how does one celebrate?

How do I celebrate?

Photobucket

Pants off, and it's time to dance ;)

My favourtie, and also hopelessly embarressing celebratory passtime is in fact dancing in my underwear to that days choice of song.

Fireflires by Owl City started tonight off and now I am all danced out....

And now, like a small girl on christmas eve, am wishing I'll get to sleep quicker so it's tomorrow....then I can dance with whomever I want, in my own house, listening to whatever I want and wearing whatever I want (or rather NOT wearing).

Goodbye coast, and hello The Natalia, Jordy, Kayla house of NO PANTS!!!!!!!!

feel free to join us whenever you like - as long as you like music, fairylights and taking your clothes off of course (and not in a weird way) ... (well not really anyway).

Goodnight old life....I'll see my new life at 7am tomorrow morning :)

Where are all the cool people at!?!

Where I spend my days there are a certain number of "cool people"...
they wear what's cool, they act like they know they are cool,
and attend parties regularly where people know they are cool.

Yet, I find these people the epitome of "uncool".
They act as if they own this small world we live in, as they know everyone.
But then, you ask them what they think about music or you ask them what they think about art or what they do for fun...
and it's always the same.
They think what everyone else thinks and they drink, every weekend, as if they don't know else they could be doing.

These people bore me!
I'm finding it difficult to find people that have their own opinion.
That dress the way they want, that think the way they want.
People that never like something or hate something because it's cool

My new and exciting friend Tegan is a bit like this.
Some may call her waky or crazy, but boy is she fun.
She dresses her own way, she likes just what she likes,
dances the way she dances and does whatever.

Photobucket

But it seems, on the coast, people, like Tegan, are a dying race.

Where are all the REAL cool people at?
Alas,
hopefully my move to a more cultured city will help me meet people, that are just like,
that really, in all honnesty, don't give a shit about what anyone else thinks...

(I would really like to secretly investigate that junk yard down the road from my house though...)

Stranger Danger

What's the most dangerous kind of stranger???

Photobucket

The seemingly awkward yet strangely attractive male, sitting across the table, at that party on Saturday night. As you sit there, glancing at the coupled strangers, stretching out on one another's laps, you notice this strange boy in a very convincing Joker costume. He, at first glance, appears to be a very tall, scary, psycopath - with his ruby red lip stick and lab coat. Yet, then he smiles at you at your initial fears seem to melt away by that grin. As he makes intellegant, drunken conversation to the prision convict and man in cow suit, next to him, you slowly make your way to the dance floor, to grab your second (whatever you drink) and begin to sway from side to side to the beat of the new 1901 Phoenix remix. You move, he follows....

Next thing you know mr tall dark and somehow handsome pushes through the curtain, into the "Rave Cave" and proceedes to sidle up to you - as if the music's beat lead his feet to yours...

You dance for a while and exchange names before you decide to take a stroll by the parked cars outside, filled with hot steamy, hopefully not under-aged couples, in their back seats.

You sit on the drive way, and talk about the way the world is and how you are going to take it by storm. You laugh, giggle and smirk. Then, what you've secretly been hoping for, for most of the night, he leans in for a perfect kiss.

This evening would be that of a "perfect date", but alas it is nothing more than another boy at another party...

and so he is the stranger that lifted you off your feet and broke your heart within the space of 24 hours.

Stranger Danger!!! - kissing at parties is strictly prohibited!!!

Welcome to my Rut...

"Why can't we still see each other!?!" he exclaims.
"Because we are in a rut!"

Photobucket

The dreaded word that fustrates me more than a four hour long maths exam
and distresses me more than financial stability...

Must we eventually give into the rut?

For those who are fortunately lucky enough to not know what The Rut is...
A Rut is the mundane, day-in day-out routien,
> which may consist of every night sitting on the couch, watching repeats of the simpsons and brushing your partners hair,
> Or the weekly routien of "the usual" down at the local pub, with the boys.

In a world where there are so many cultures, places to see, people to meet, how is it that we get so bolted down with this safe, mundane routien.
It's as if the entire world has decided to take on the ideals of that of an Existentialist....

And alas this is what I fear the most!
When ever I'm sitting in the passanges seat of an small, moving vehicle, and watch the luscious fields, flowing rivers and mysetrious forests go past I feel like screaming STOP! I need to see this. I need to feel it.

Photobucket

And yet, my chauffer keeps on driving, as if their only thoughts are, "The beauty can wait. Quick, let's get back to the rut before something way too exciting happens!"

Unfortunately, it is such a thing as The Rut that has ruined many of my relationships.
Why are we always so bored, when there's so much to do?!?

Photobucket

So, I plead this....
Good readers of internet blogs, artists, future politics, nerds, whom ever you are...
If you feel the same as me. You see the world and want to frolic in it with another...
You want drink from streams, skinny dip in every coast...
streek through sun flower fields and kiss and fool around in long grass....
Comment this blog!!!!!

Photobucket

I need my faith restored that others see the world around us and don't want to miss it either!
I wanna finally meet an adventurous man that actually likes to climb mountains and explore junk yards.

Where's your sense of adventure gone!?!
WE MUST ESCAPE THE RUT!
